Dr. Marshall received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine 2010, and her post-graduate training at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, VA Medical Center in Oregon, and the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage.
Before medical school she worked for 7 years as a massage therapist, and spent 3 years in Okinawa, Japan studying Shiatsu and Thai Medical Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Herbology and other "Alternative" healing modalities. She also served for 7 years in the U.S. Navy in the Dental health field. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Computer Studies from University of Maryland College Park and spent a number of years doing biomedical research in Neurosciences and Phytotherapeutics.
Her approach to medicine is grounded in the belief that the body has the wisdom and innate ability to heal itself, and therefore considers the role of the doctor to be supportive. To this end, her medical practice emphasizes discovering and addressing the root causes of diseases and removing the obstacles that hinder recovery.
Her experience in many forms of healing and research has made her a strong believer in the value of education and the powerful role that thoughts play in healing and health. She immensely enjoys investigating chronic medical diseases and complex medical problems that other doctors have given up on.
Her hobbies include reading and learning, photography, puzzles, computers, traveling and exploring the beautiful Pacific NW with friends, family and the dogs.
